Umm Al Quwain Channel (2014)

Gulf Cobla dredged a 4km long approach channel for National Marine Services, an Umm Al Quwain based entity with ties to the Umm Al Quwain Royal family. The seabed in this area consist of high quality beach sand material and by dredging this approach channel two goals are achieved. Around 1 Million m3 dredged sand is stockpiled on shore where it can be sold as beach sand / construction material and an approach channel is created to the existing jetty and coast guard area. Ships are now able to reach the jetty area to load rocks from the ramps installed on this jetty, whereby the commercial aspects of the jetty come to their right.

Gulf Cobla used their Cutter Suction Dredger Khaleej Bay to dredge this 4km approach channel.
