Deira Bay

The Deira Bay is a medium-sized, shallow-draft cutter suction dredger, type Beaver 3500, designed to dredge a variety of material. Years of service in a variety of locations and conditions have proven the reliability and versatility of this unit.

She is one of the three dredgers specifically designed around local Middle East conditions, both climatological and geotechnical. The electrical cutter drive and the sturdy design of the cutter ladder, spud carrier and pontoon allow her to be used in sand.

The Deira Bay has been maintained over the years, both mechanically and electrically, and is currently in a very good state of maintenance. She can be economically controlled by a captain / operator and crew, and is well instrumented to ensure optimum outputs.
