Garhoud Bay

The Garhoud Bay is a medium-sized, shallow-draft cutter suction dredger, type Beaver 3500, designed to dredge a variety of materials. Years of service in a variety of locations and conditions have proven the reliability and versatility of this unit.

Like the Deira Bay, she is one of the three dredgers specifically designed around local Middle East conditions. The electrical cutter drive and the sturdy cutter ladder, spud carrier and pontoon let her work in sand and in moderately weak rock type materials alike.

The Garhoud Bay has been upgraded over the years, both the mechanical and the electrical elements, and is currently in a very good state of maintenance. She can be economically controlled by a captain / operator and crew, and is well instrumented to ensure optimum outputs.
