CSD “Jumeirah Bay”
The smallest unit, completely refurbished in 2014
The Jumeirah Bay is a cutter suction dredger from the IHC Beaver line, built in 1992. Gulf Cobla completely refurbished this dredger in 2014, resulting in her current practically new state.
The hull consists of three separate pontoons: one main pontoon housing the engine room and dredge pump, and two side pontoons housing bunkering capacity and storage rooms. These types of dredgers are developed and dimensioned to allow the dredger to be transported by road or by sea; all pontoons can be disassembled, transported separately and reassembled on the project location, providing the most cost-effective solution.
Outfitted with the latest dredging technology, and with the relatively small size of this dredger, she is an ideal tool for smaller dredging projects in sheltered, sandy conditions.
